Great people in our Salsa scene in Utah deserve to be recognized. Once in a while we will put our Salsa shoes aside, turn off the Salsa music, and profile someone involved in the Utah Salsa community. These are interviews done via phone, internet, or even in person. This is a way to let people know who is involved in the Salsa scene

DJ CORWIN

We know who he is, in and out of the dance floor. Today we look at a more personal level with our friend and dancer fellow.

TONY OF RITMO CALIENTE

When we talk about Tony from Ritmo Caliente, we are talking about a great leader and inspiration to us all. He has been promoting the Salsa scene more than anyone can imagine, we are talking about more than a decade.

ORQ KRIBE

Another great band making some noise out there is Orquesta Kribe. We talk to the leaders of the band to get a better view of this new group.

OLVIS EL CUBANO

He has been dancing since he was 5 years old back in Havana Cuba. He made a huge impact when he came to Salt Lake bringing with him a whole wave of L.A. style salsa to the scene. Still considered one of the best, if not the top salsero of the state, Olvis El Cubano Ortega comes and gives us an interview.

FELIX ZURITA

A shocking hit to the Southern parts of the region regarding Salsa has been Felix Zurita. A true original and a great supporter to all Salsa events from the very first of our scene.

CARLOS NIETO

A very important figure in the growth of our Salsa scene in Utah is Carlos Nieto, he is the founder and director of Utah Salseros Dance Company.

JOSE OF ORQ. LATINO

Jose Quevedo has been playing Salsa for quite some time now, but now he had the chance to make it on his own and with his own band. We have the pleasure to introduce Jose Quevedo to you guys.

DAIYANI

A true inspirations for many of us is this person who started with the scene. Today we have the great plasure to interview Daiyani from Orisha Dancers.

JESSICA KUMORI

One of the first Salseras of the state was Jessica Kumori, she has been teaching Salsa longer than any other instructor in the state of Utah. It is safe to say that she was here since the very beginning of Salsa in Utah.

RICARDO OF MAMBO JUMBO

Latin percussionist, drummer and studio musician. He has been playing professionally for more than twenty years in the scene inside and outside of Utah. He now comes under our Profiles with an unbelieveable humbleness and originality. Ricardo, the leader of Mambo Jumbo.

GDL MUSIC

With only a few years of experience but a reputation to prove they belong up there with the top djs of the state, GDL has jumped the charts in what people want in the Salsa scene. They are one of the selected djs to play at local universities, and are requested again and again because of their selection of Salsa.

DJ COQUE

He has over twenty years of experience in the scene. He started back in Colombia when he was a young boy in the Salsa scene, and now he has the attitude, experience, and salsa selection like no other in the state. Dj Coque comes under our profiles page with his interview about the Salsa scene in our state.

DUVAN VOTERO

The owner and promoter of concerts Duvan Votero came behind the scenes of the club and into an interview with our reporter. We are honored to be one of the first one to look behind the promoter, and more into the life as a salsero.
